Mezzanine Storage Safety Gate Meets OSHA Requirements K-T Safety Systems, Inc. has developed a new all-steel gate system designed to meet OSHA requirements for storage access to mezzanines and elevated platforms. Warehouses and processing plants have consistently faced the dilemma of maintaining worker safety during the loading and unloading of palletized materials from mezzanines. The K-T Safety Gate was specifically designed to maintain an OSHA specified enclosure at the loading area, protecting employees from accidental falls from the mezzanine and from coming into contact with moving loads. This novel gate system has an innovative, yet simple, locking mechanism which positively locks the gate in both the load and unload positions. The gate can be easily operated by any employee. The gate is manufactured from all structural steel grade components and the gate railings are a standard 1 1/2" diameter two-line safety rail with a 4" toe-board on the outer edge. The gate frame is made from rugged channel and tube steel protected with pipe rails and steel mesh. The entire system has been designed to meet all applicable OSHA load and dimensional requirements.
